You will be quite surprised by this one I was.
I set up 2 cars for the forthcoming carrera shoot out and I was vey surprised by the results.
On my 50ft test track the modified Bently turned in a best time of 5.1 sec ,the Audi did 5.4 ,the diference was due to the braking of the Audi being poorer than the Bently ,(manufacturing variances)
I then tested a new out of the box Bently with magnetraction .Did it run away from the other 2 ?
No! It didnt,Granted it was faster but only by .1 of a sec turning in a 5 sec lap.
Despite having magnetraction It was obvious that its standard running gear left a little to be desired in the traction stakes ,the trued up tyres and loose body of the "blueprinted " car were a match for the magnet on the standard car,The "blue printed"car was also a lot more predictable to drive and any mistakes were easier to catch.

Me thinks a few actual 'box standard' magnet cars could be ready to be provided for people who turn up on the Carrera LeMans day without cars...

we could do that Lotus, BUT as were racing on a routed track, it just aint gonna work that way m'lad!

Grah, got my wheels off, 5 minutes and they were satisfactorily low

unlike the mound under the grinding disk!

Should be good, cant praise this ILPE spinner highly enough and now I appear to have the knack for these tyres I can finish off once the battery has finished charging!

I'll prep the remaining cars I have just in case Lotus.
Inte just keep treating the tyres with your favourite substance, but dont do it too soon I had a pair expand quite a lot.
