That's a bit of a test run brought some filment from the same company as usual but this time I was sent a different brand , so have to adjust my heat settings back that why it so stringy . The d50 is in 1/24 160mm long ,60mm wide and 40mm high. 1/32 120,45,30 I'll get back to you on the ERA I must of wrote it down in another place.
The ERA is a bit of a hard one to find out the length and width but using the Hight I came up with these figures length 168.46mm, width 42.42mm and 46.58mm high.
Cheers.
John.

Yes that's all I could find too, but in the scaling I just used the high and this is how it came out against the Maserati and a BRM , Ferrari, and two Smer model body's ERA is in the middle. It doesn't look out of scale those cars of the 1930s were all sorts of shapes and sizes!

I couldn't find the overall length either John only the dimension Beardy posted.

I am guessing if I scale it to a 100mm wheelbase the rest will fit in proportion. I will do the D50 first and see how it turns out. I still have resin Maserati, BRM and Mercedes W196 that I need to finish so next time I get in the mood to work on some projects I will tackle those first I think.

I am building 2 Talbot Lagos and an Alfa at the moment from Merit clone kits - 1 for me and the others for friends - I really need to get them finished.

cheers
David
The D50 was only a short car and then the Alfa's and Mercedes were rely big, long and wide after watching some racing video from the time helps getting a sense of scale.
Alfa 8c,in 1/24 is214.58mm long73.55 wide and 62mm high.
Alfa 8c,in 1/24 is214.58mm long73.55 wide and 62mm high.
Here's another one , the 1937 Alfa 8c 1/24 Length 179.16
That Ferrari 555 looks great. I might have to get my friend to print that one....

I have sent you an email about the ERA John.

The Talbot 26C had a wheelbase of 2,502 mm so a touch longer than the ERA @ 104.25mm

cheers
David
