AN HONEST AND BLUNT QUESTIONS.
i build a modelcar racer to the best of my knowledge and talent, hoping to let everyone would see and like it.but i did this for my own satisfaction, knowing it is a beautiful model car racer.

now the questions.....................
why would i send my car to a race meet ,and let someone else drive it?
how do i know that the person/persons driving the car are good drivers,non-biased,and what if the car crashes, and gets broken?
these are my questions and there are heaps to come .

i build cars and race them to its fullest potentials.if i crash it and it gets scratched ,my heart sinks.i even stop so i don't hit anyone on the track when there is a crash/deslot.

i build cars for my sons, but when they damage it ,i feel bad ,although it is part of the race.let alone people who i don't know or seen personally.

race in a proxy race ?

i don't think so...............

I build cars to the best of my (limited) ability too. I spend a lot of time and effort and each one is a slight improvement over the last.

I'm happy to send them to this race because I trust PDL in that I know he has selected talented racers who will care for and respect our cars. Sure acidents can happen and if they do, i'll repair the damage when it gets back. No different to one of my friends coming over to race and accidentally damaging it.

I am also getting to race against like minded people from around the world, people I would love to actually meet.

Most importantly, children much less fortunate than ourselves are benefiting from our fun.

It's up to you whether you enter but I'm glad I have.

Cheers,

John

If you have the skills to build a car, surely you must have the skills to repair some race damage, although I have seen none on my previous entries.

I purposely send cars that have no chance of winning, and try and send stuff that is amusing or interesting in some way.Either really old stuff(one of my entries from this year is a 1962 era Scaextric car)or just plain different.

A few scratches in the paintwork is more than worth helping out unfortunate kids.

We in fact, have some of the very best professional racers in the world driving the cars. In the past 4 years, very few cars sustained damage, and some of it happened from...shipping!

hey guys,i have been racing and building all my stuff for a long ,long time too.
and i wouldn't mind sending a car to be seen,as i have done it before.
i already had asked this question before ages ago in most of the slot car forums

what get me on edge are these words

We in fact, have some of the very best professional racers in the world driving the cars.

HOW DO I KNOW IF THESE BEST PROFFESIONAL RACERS,AREN'T BIASED AT ALL?!

this all boils down to what you run where you are.
i ask paul c for advise regarding a certain matter and the stupid response was totally far from the topic which shows how biased people are.(so called proffesional s)

QUOTE even though I had read that the lap length on a two lane track with a single cross-over was the same on each lane.
It's a charity event,who cares.

If you have concerns like that, best not to enter, and leave all the fun to those of us that do.
