Well I did some digging in the deep dark depths of the forum and came across another thread like this last posted in 2004, So 3 years have passed and many a new member have joined. So let's see the update of your car(s)....

I will get a Photograph of my new car, But first this is my Old Escort which was sold 2 days ago

It's a 1988 Ford Escort 1.9l 3 speed auto... (It was registered the day I was born
!!)

Now I have a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 3.1L V6, Sadly It's an auto but with 240bhp (Some tuning done) it can hold it's own against some sporty cars.

Nice new Mini JCW!!
I love my wife's 2016 S with upgraded audio and other bits - what a great, little, Fast car when in RED mode!

I sadly had to scrap my smaller engined Signum the other week. After 2 yrs on SORN because I couldn't find any proper headlamps to get it past the MoT, I fitted it with some lesser lamp versions. But the 2 yrs standing still did it no good at all, and the repair costs would have been twice as much as it cost me. :(

As having only two cars made me feel decidedly vulnerable I got another one (as you do....) and this one's NOTHING like my usual car, as it has no tailgate, only two doors and it's a convertible for crying out loud!

This thing's a Vauxhall Astra Twin Top 2 litre Turbo, '.....a decidedly strange car for you Dad....' as described by my daughter, but it's quite fun machine. :)

Watching it do its party piece when the roof goes up and down is a total hoot!

I recently changed the Fiat 124 Spider into something a little more... Growly!

A Jaguar XK-R Convertible, 4.2 Litre Supercharged V8, 416 BHP and a noise at full chat that would wake the dead.
And when you put the roof up and down it is a performance piece and yes Kit, a total hoot....
When you are just pottering around it sounds like Steve McQueen's Mustang

Thank you Trisha.
I am enjoying every minute, just need the sun to come out so I can pop the hood, with heated seats it does not have to be a warm day but sunny is nice.

Advise you do so asap. A great ol' chum of mine set his heart on owning one of these cars, but regrettably left us before he had a chance to do so.

To reiterate, a great car! Jus' get in and put yer foot down. Wonderful. Thanks again.

No idea as to where it's parked but that's a nice looking top; who's it by?; would look good in tan on our car.
It came from a place in the uk called car hood warehouse, it’s there standard mohair with plastic screen roof. I’m on my phone at the moment so can’t link you, but if you google carhood warehouse Sevenoaks they should appear!

I had a Twin Top and loved it but that only lasted for 8 months, as our only car it was difficult to live with day to day. Huge boot with no
actual space in it as it was full of roof mechanism, seals squeaked all the time no matter how much silicone spray I applied.
Wife is still upset I sold it 10 years down the line.

Would have another tomorrow as a second car but being as I am the only driver in the house it's shame to have a car just sat around not being used.

I found, to my cost, that the Twin Top is NOT a car to drive open if the temp is below maybe 10C!

Today it was 7.5 C and I tried it with the roof down on the way home from Glos. I may have frostbite on the back of my neck now as the airflow swirls around the windscreen and windows and comes back FORWARDS, right into my neck!

But it sure goes well, specially with the 'Sport' button pressed. :)

Mine came with one of these tucked under the floor in the boot if I remember right, makes a surprising difference in the front when the roof is down.

Oooooh, I'll look out for one of those, that'd make a lot of difference. Thanks for the tip.
Andy,

I found one of those windbreaks on eBay for £89! RESULT! :)

And it works a treat, just as you said, thanks so much. (y)

Thank you will do, I can only make progress in the warmer months here in Canada as I don't have a heated garage.
As its a Restmod and having got Brian Redman to sign the dash I,m going with a Brands Hatch winning 908 color scheme and graphics.
