This is looking good and I'm very interested in this. I bought the same kit a while ago with a view to conversion but mine was horrible - warped pretty much everywhere to such an extent that I just lost heart and moved on to something else. Did you have any problems with the quality of the kit itself? I'm at the detailing stage of one of George Turner's MGs but once that's done I may well have to get another Airfix kit and try again. What wheels have you used for this?
