The Milton Keynes Swap Meet on 12th February looks set to be a bumper event.

There will be over 60 tables now and we have had to close the event to any more traders so unless anyone drops out it's a full house!

Bring along the next generation as there will also be a rally track and race circuit to play on.

Refreshments as well as free parking. Details on the calender:

But it is still at Woughton for those who have been before and for those who haven't it's a great chance to meet with fellow slot-nuts and trade direct with none of that nasty bidding and postage.

And all for only £1.00 entry.

South Cambridgeshire HO Racing Club/AVHORA will be there with an HO layout, with magnet missiles and non magnet HO cars for you to try, alongside the HO Racing Ahead stall, (I hope).

Yes it's an AutoArt. There are just 65 of these cars available (from the NSCC table), to NSCC members attending the event (one per member). Priced at just £29 for a limited edition so make sure you attend to get this unique car.

Nearly there.
Remember this event has free entry to NSCC members and a chance to buy the swapmeet ltd edition car (one per member), and only £1 entry for non members.
Refreshments will be available and there are still two tracks to play on, not to mention 65 tables of goodies to buy.

See you all there

I'm looking forward to attending as I've not been to the Milton Keynes one before.

Let's hope the snow stays away for a few more days

But still plenty to come and see and do (and buy!).

Unfortunately yes, due to manning problems.

However there will be plenty of information about SCHORC/AVHORA, together with a small display, on the HO Racing Ahead Stall, which will have a section dedicated to the two HO clubs.

Hi,

Just got back from MK.

Great Event Guys - well-done to all involved. Looked busy to me - hope the traders fared well (they had a few bob off me for sure!) Rally track, club track were great fun - We took a mate to his first event and he was blown away!

Lovely selection of cars on sale, great assortment of trackside stuff -and an NSCC badged Ltd Ed. car for less that 30 quid!

Always try to attend MK - this was special - no-brainer for next year - if you read this and can get to it ever - do so - Big Kids in a Big Toy Shop! - Do it - Blinding!!

Best Regards,

Chris

It was really good seeing a reinvigorated MK swapmeet - hope the stall holders did some good business. We found 3 or 4 potential new members so we deemed it sucessful. I also got to test my rally cars on the excellent rally track. Found I had some issues trying to get a couple of mine around but with a couple of tweaks I took the overall fastest time with 48 seconds.

Anyway we had a steady stream of people racing on our club portable track and here are the best times for the 10 lap challenge:
Overall - John Underwood 1min 20secs
2nd and Best Junior - Chris 1min 30 secs
3rd Alan R 1 min 35 secs
Top Lady Charlotte Underwood 2min 13 secs

The timeless trophies will be finding their way to you all.

Wellingborough Scalextric Club

thanks to David Farrow and son, David Collins and Steve Taylor for making our involvement possible.

Great to catch up with so many peeps after so many years' absence. It made the 4 o' clock alarm call worthwhile
