My soon just turn 3, and is racing my carrera track on 25 % learner mode with a 1/32 NSR Mosler. NICE
BUT!

When I take of learner mode and go full throttle, the motor kind of grunt. It will not go from zero to max. It´s like it have a cold. I have to slowly speed up to get full speed. Its a slot.it 29k motor. I found out about this when first trying out with a 1/24 scaleauto porsche, which I "only" run. I thought it was the car ship that couldn´t supply enough juice to the more powerful motor, therefor I tested it with a 1/32.

I have plugged the track with regular power adaptors from carrera, 14.8V 0.35A. the power is evenly distributed around the track. I have plugged a LB to the track and short circuit the controller plug.

Can anyone tell me what my problem(s) is(are), besides having less knowledge about electronics?
thanks

Hi,
Hmmm 3 yr old, 29K motor, Scorpius system, learner mode, lucky 3 yr old

I just ran Mosler 30K NSR Shark motor in Learner Mode at 14.8V no problem. Perhaps try different controller and/or chip to get a few more clues.

Does the motor run for half a second, stop for half a second, go for half a second, etc etc? Is it a magnet car?

wait... the power supply is only .35 amps? Sounds to me like the car is pulling high amps, killing the PSU, then pulling less because the car is already moving, so the PSU can handle it better.
If you bring up the speed slowly, the PSU will be able to handle it.

You have Scorpius and haven't splashed on a decent PSU? Time to upgrade, dude.

Hi again

The car was just slowly going up in speed like MrFlippant assumed. MORE AMPS

This works like a charm
what a feel!

I have a few PSUs for carrera in stock, just added 1 more and bum, the car runs like kitten

Ive had a busy time lately so its so nice to finally get some laps (with the right amps).

U guys are always great help. Keep it up, there might come up more problems to make me go bald

thanks carsten
