HELP ME. I've been trying to complete a 4wd MMRC Mercedes F1 car now for about 4 years. It is a GREAT car, but I need rear contrate, rear wheels and all four tyres. Apparently the tyre sizes are different front to back. ANY info on a source of spare OR some techncial support would be great.

Have a look at the UK Slotbug website via Slotcity down in Swindon. If they cannot help then phone and ask. Sean at Pendleslotracing has a classic site attached to the main but I cannot recall its stiename. Call Sean and see if he can help. Otherwise scour Ebay. There is one guy on Jersey who sometimes sells MRRC older spares, etc. on Ebay and he's a great communicator if you email him

The steel bevel gears are hard to find but can be replaced with the MRRC 3:1 brass bevel gear set which are the same ratio and far easier to find [see either Phil Smith or Derek Cooper] and if memory serves are a straight swop.
The wheels might be a bit more difficult as i do not think they were available as spares, but i could be wrong. I think the tyres were the MRRC "diamond" pattern in either hard or soft compounds and of different sizes front and rear, again these can be found as they were the tyre of choice at one time back when the tracks all had Santex surfaces so many survived still in packets unsold, again see Phil or Derek.

Thanks my friends. That is a lot to go on, I've contacted a guy who knows John Robinson, he is probably the first place to start. If anybody does have his address or phone number that would be the icing on the cake
