There is a reason the autoart cars are cheap lol

Thanks for the heads up though.

still at that price you could replace the chassis and/or running gear with something else and end up with a great looking car that drives as well as it looks

I really enjoy my AutoArt Subaru. I had to remove the grate under the engine as the car was bottoming out. Once done it is a fun car to run.

I work for modelzone at the moment, and being a slot car fan, have convinsed myself to buy a collection of Autoart cars and for great prices! (Not just saying that because I work there!) since even on ebay, I can't find a 206 or evo for £9.99!! And I think they are great cars (with magnets out of course!)

Just wish they sold a cheap Revel Audi Quattro S1! -craving that car!

I also work for Modelzone and have had the benefit of trying most of these cars out along with owning most of them too.
As far as the SCX cars go there is not much to say other than they are absolutely fantastic!
Stand out ones for me which I own myself is the Morgan aero 8 (Dewalt) Ford Escort MK2 (Daily express) and my favorite the Lancia Delta S4.

The Autoart cars are a whole different story though, I have had nothing but misery with them and yes admitably they CAN be made to run properly but why bother when after all the additions it will have cost you more than double the original price.
For our store we have had about half of the Autoart cars returned by customers due to many faults, most common one is snapped pinions. Avoid them at all costs unless you are willing to put some effort into making them run.
I most certainly wouldnt buy one as a present for a grandson or something for christmas as it will most certainly end up somewhere uncomftable upon your person.
