I dont know what slot car specific oils were used back in the day....but perhaps these ?

what do you use on your classics now old or new tech...use sparingly?.....3in one ?

Yup 3in1 for me.

Can't remember back 50 years for what I used back then but it was probably the same.

You can buy original Cox and Strombecker lubricants on eBay US. But I wouldn't recommend it.

I use Tamiya grease, either molybdenum or ceramic (expensive that one)

For oil, sewing machine or bicycle chain oil works fine.

PS: Forgot to say, some synthetic oils will attack plastic and make it very very brittle, always test on an old body before using on your priceless vintage stuff.

I'm a Super Lube fan too.

Used to get it cheap from Tandy stores in the UK, but since they have gone it's hard to get over here. Bought a 10 pack off of Ebay Usa for £40 last year, but got clobbered by the customs so £4 a pop became £5.50! Still half what Ebay sellers over here are asking.
