Not my thing, but one of the guys at the club showed up with a project car almost finished; a monster truck converted from a Tamiya, with a custom chassis with a drop arm guide.

We were practicing for the F1 league race, so we banished him to the hill climb. That was too narrow, but he just ran over my lovely scenery!

Pix at:Monstah!

It will eventually have a paintjob and interior....

Gearing was awful! It moves really slowly, but is unstoppable and pulls wheelies!

I saw a couple of 32nd scale static monster truck kits the other day. Damned if I hadn't left my wallet at home when I went to buy them
. I was planning to just build them up for the Race-fans to look at in the scenery.. may have to update my plans after seeing this

Monster trucks are everything that represents what it is to feel like a "dang farner" as a Brit in Texas, but...

Ok, so the best thing about this truck was the sheer outrageousnous of it as it climbed all over my lovely hillclimb scenery. The "balls to the wind, get out of my my way or I'm climbing over you" style kind of impressed me!

LOL!
Yeah, like the unofficial UK Book of Records says the fastest production street car is a plumber in an Astra van!

My bro used to have a Ford Granada 3.0 with scaffold poles for bumbers, hand painted matt black with bullet holes down the doors (not stick-ons, these were done with a Hilte!). When driving that car in traffic I ALWAYS had right of way!
