The current BSCRA club Ipswich Slot Car Club based at Wickham Market will be hosting monthly races on either a week night or a weekend day depending on interest. Classes to be confirmed after interest made. So who would consider a trip to this sunny part of Suffolk for once a month racing and also what classes and formats would you like to see?

Thinking of running 2 classes so 6 races each a year and alternating each month. Following classes currently thought to run are Stock Wizzard Storm Extreme and Open Wheel to same rules as EAHORC. Thoughts?

You should make the classes to maximise the attendances, you should make that choice too.

Everyone has a different agenda on classes, Stock, Modified, Nascar, LMP, Promod all have their followers,

I won't make any suggestions, as I will shot down in flames as having a vested interest, I also would be unlikely to attend.

Lee - The classes make sense because they are based around currently available products, so keep looking at it that way.

The Wizzard stuff makes sense because it will give the local BSCRA guys a similar buzz to what they are used to, and with Lexans an aesthetic they are used to.

The new website looks good, but there is a mass of data on the old site you should gradually archive to give the new one heft.

Tony - I guess if you suggest anything now people are following and looking for the money trail, even thought it might occasionally be unfair to do so. You reap what you sow. I also don't agree that if somebody follows a class they will have an agenda, unless like you they have skin in the game....

I think best classes as Deane said they are ready available. Old website need to speak to Paul about eventually will be archived. I know new one not best but think it's a good start.

It is a good start.

You need to add pages so that the ones you have remain uncluttered, you need to add images and video, keep the page 800px wide and use small fonts for the benefit of the smart phone generation.

Oh, and avoid clubbz and secret sections

Once I sorted classes rules etc all pages have open rules etc so all can see it a working process but 'I have a dream'

I dont race at Ipswich anymore due to work commitments but once get garage sorted at new house we moved into and track built possible staging club races there but will see how things go

That could be a good way to generate interest and get a club on the go

Yep, if nothing comes of a club then not lost anything as still have track to test my cars and have guys round for mini race meets. Not like dont do enough racing to keep me busy
