I started swearing at secondary school. Everyone else was swearing so I thought I should to mix in. It was a Church Of England school so it was a surprise that all the students swore often. Very few students actually had a bible and even fewer went to church though to get in we needed a reference from our Parish vicar. I was dragged to church due to my parents being religious. I dont mind religion but I think it should be an individual's choice.

Your Beetle looks amazing for 55, it looks very clean in good condition. 1 careful owner from new as well, superb car.
With your Modus have you considered a museum? Empty a barn and show everyone your car collection. In a picture of your Modus I also noted a Mitsubishi Shogun/Pajero you could display.

Sounds more likely they tripped and splashed the paint on the canvas, hardly a talent. I'm not sure how anyone could say its art as I suspect any young child could achieve a similar piece of 'art' very easily. I've seen some brilliant artistic talent in graffiti on fences around construction sites.

We went to the Tate Modern many years ago and were glad we didn't pay to get in as the exhibits weren't what we think of as art. 3 vacuum cleaners? Mmm cleaners too lazy to put them away. Unfinished IKEA flat pack? I was tempted to pick up the Allen key and build it myself.

We wanted to see some actual paintings not lazy cleaners and half built furniture. I think we may be cavemen in our opinion of art being a sculpture, casting or a painting of something or someone that actually looks like the object or person.

As you know I am a fan of your artwork and think you could display it in a gallery and even sell prints or the original artwork. Racing cars are always popular.

An Austin Allegro estate? That would capture my attention. Was it the Vanden Plas model with the chrome(ish) grill?

I liked Rover putting Vanden Plas on it's top of the range cars, more luxury and it stated it in 2 words not just letters like LX.

I hope Uncle Bonkers is enjoying a good single malt.

The Beetle looks good, I like the long exhaust reminds me of modifications people made to their Beetles in the 80s. My junior school headmaster had a plain gold Beetle which looked good, I preferred it to a teachers green Triumph Dolomite. A classmates dad had a Beetle in orange and most other colours,I was never sure if due to paint fading or scrap yard replacement panels. You never forget how an air cooled engine sounds.

Hope you dont scare the horse next to the Beetle, it could throw its rider, into the ice cream van 😀

Nice gold Beetle, reminds of Junior School. I had a note excusing me from sports day due to my hayfever, they still stuck me on the field with its freshly cut grass to watch 😭

Nice, I have 3 Pink Kar Beetles,Herbie, Fire wagon and the convertible in red and white. All are stock. I actually prefer the less powerful stock motor as the power plus motor is painfully noisy and not as easy to drive/control.

It looks great, a classic split screen Beetle. It has the running boards so your Tesco clubcard should be safe.

My parts storage has some organisation in terms of items being organised by manufacturer. After that it gets messy and a hunt to find just a gear, an even bigger hunt to find a replacement eyelet.

Charity sky dive for Uncle Bonkers? All funds for Airfix Beetle kits.

I understand in WWII is wasn't uncommon for ladies to cut up a parachute for its silk to make lingerie. A new pastime for Aunty Hermione?
