This is what happens when passion gets out of hand. A clutch of Airfix Beetles on PCS chassis. Despite appearances no two are the same, and all have different characteristics on track. Fun to build but tricky in parts. Thank you again for your time in looking.

Way back when, I used to paint the inside of such shells with emulsion paint, which seemed to stick well enough and was obviously flexible enough not to crack . . .

But that was around the time of Decimilisation!

Of course, you could go the Magic Marker and hairspray route, maaan . . .

Anyone else remember spotty paint jobs?
Cool

No problem, Laurence - I remember friends and I trying some of these finishes out way back when.

Oh, and on reading that article, that must have been where I learned to use emulsion paint!

Whatever you use, I look forward to seeing the result, Laurence.

Such a no-fuss merthod of packaging - brings back so many memories!
Haha! I'd forgotten about sending off for parts!

Actually, the bags were seldom split from where I bought them - the local newsagent/sub-Post Office, where they hung the bags on a beam half way along the shop, well out of harm's way!

Mark
I cant remember ever having used it - what disadvantages do you find, Laurence, and what would you use instead?

Mark
Won't that make it more of a Bee than a Beetle . . ?

Mark
Very swish.
Probably time for a cuppa then, Laurence.

Sixty pages in and you are encouraging him to do more? Really?

From what I can gather, no encouragement is needed!

Mark
Please keep going, Laurence!
Groovy!

That looks wonderful!

Hope you're not in as much discomfort as the other day and the injury's healing.
