Aaaargh!

I see what you mean, Nuro - merely irritating?
I'd be tempted to put it MUCH more strongly!
Tip: If you have a wheel mouse, click the wheel and a tiny bit of scrolling will calm things down considerably, but that front page is insane.
Looking forward to Wednesday midnight, UK time (if I have regained my vision by then!)

If it's midnight GMT, then the main USA spread will be 4pm - 7pm Wednesday.
I'd hazard a guess there will be plenty of net traffic.
Anyone running a book on whether it actually happens dead on the appointed time?

Afterthought
Anyone running a book on how long it will take someone to sneak over to SCI and post it as if discovered by self?

QUOTE MOTO GP Coundown
I suggest that Challenger could just possibly be best discussed in one of the three topics already devoted to it rather than in this Moto GP Countdown.
Roll on midnight, UK time!
Realistically, I would suggest that the top brass might just have the faintest glimmerings of a clue as to what happens next, wisely having done a few pre-rehearsals. I think they will all be happily tucked up in their beds, snoring like 500cc Motos!

Not like me to be accused of wild optimism!

Reminiscent of 'piss-ups in breweries' and 'orgies in brothels'.

Fear not - the heroic phone call by the legendary Birmingham cavalry is sure to save the day.
Tooty tooty toot!

An interesting description that
QUOTE Compact motor gives direct drive to rear wheel (no contrate gearing)
My understanding is that 'direct drive' means NO gears, yet these motors do have a spur gear driving teeth on the rear wheel, which means that the rear wheel IS the contrate gear. Dropping the phraze, 'no contrate gearing', might be a sensible move.

I would be curious to know the gear ratio. It would seem likely that these bikes have a substantially higher numeric ratio than cars, but that could be cancelled out by the larger diameter of the wheel.
Possibly the net 'roll out' result would be no different.
