I have set my PC date to the 29th. What does "Horah!" mean? That is a good question 550rs.

I don't think things are going to happen until somebody at Hornby presses the launch button and pops open the champagne corks later today.

Realistically, I would suggest that the top brass might just have the faintest glimmerings of a clue as to what happens next, wisely having done a few pre-rehearsals. I think they will all be happily tucked up in their beds, snoring like 500cc Motos!

Meco, that sounds dull (but realistic as you say). But maybe those oft referred-to "men in white coats" will be folk-dancing

The aformentioned referred to includes myself. Technically there are folk here who are way above me in the list of those who can provide relevent help to out cousins at SCI however there are also folk across the pond who are probably of equal standing.

However, slot car sites can also be a bit dry at times and it takes all sorts to make a slot car message board of interest to a wide audience.

Only about 8 hours or so to go now.

I'll give Challenger MotoGp 2 years!

Although I can see a Pacer type device being re-introduced to support MotoGP rather than a Challenger MotoGP bike.

If the Scalextric MotoGP enthusiast appears to be an entirely different breed to the slot car racing enthusiast then there will more than likely be a whole range of MotoGP linked accessories offered in the coming years.

And of course there will be some cross dressers. Me included!

The funny thing is I have no interest in them either! I think scale is wrong and that they will look stupid going around a corner vertically, but what the hell I have to give the poor bugger sitting waiting to flip the switch some consideration. Actually I am trying to catch up on all the posts, if you dont check for a day there is a huge back-log
