MrD Raceway - Slot Drag Racing - 2012 season - Chelmsford
Hi all, as well as the popular monthly Slot Drag meetings in Kent, I will also be running a monthly meeting in Chelmsford. The dates for 2012 are as follows:
Friday 27th January
No meeting in February (as I will be racing in French Championship)
Friday 30th March
Friday 27th April
Friday 25th May
The racing will follow the time tested MrC format of run-wot-u-brung, whereby you bring something and race it! I have a few cars that people wishing to try it out can use. Bring your 1/32, 1/24, beds, whatever, if it fits in the lane, it can go down!!!!
If we have enough people we usually run a couple of eliminators, and the rest is match racing, grudge racing, or just tune-up runs. Whatever takes your fancy!!!
As always, if your running in an elimination race, then try to keep to a gentleman's agreement of 'you race a car appropriate to your opponent', ie, don't bring out your open motored missile against a budget cheetah II!!!
Entry/racing is free, all we do is ask is that you throw a couple of quid in the pot to help toward the hire of the hall. Limited refreshments are available, so it's best to bring your own.
Racing starts at around 7.30pm, til we get bored and go home. Usually 2 to 3 hours of racing. OK, that doesn't sound long, but with 1 second runs, it's more than enough!!!

The Cathedral Primary School
Victoria Road
Chelmsford

CM1 1PA
The entrance to the school is just opposite The Royal Mail Sorting Office on Victoria Road, near the Riverside Ice and Leisure Centre. There is a small car park in the school grounds which should be able to accomadate us all. Please try and come along.
