Hi guys!
I was wondering how would perform one of these MRRC FF motors with their 20.000 rpm, no brakes, no progressive acceleration, etc, in a scratch built brass chassis..

Have one of you tried this motor in any scratch projects?

Due to reduced room in the chassis in one of my recent projects, I was thinking about use this motor to preserve full cockpit detail. I though about use a long gear ratio to decrease that stupidy acceleration of the motor, however, it will loose the brakes even more

By the way, the car is front engined... good ahh??

Any advices?

Cheers!

I have not found that the MRRC motors have poor brakes etc. The cars are just geared wrong in the Sebring chassis, they use a 10 tooth pinion, changing to an 8 or 9 makes different car of them. I have used a couple in other chassis with good results.I would also look at the Scaleauto versions and the new SRP range.

I agree with Phil...I love these motors (and chassis) for scratchbuild projects...gearing can be an issue depending on the track, but personally never had any problem with braking.
