Hi Nigel

Away from the mass producers many slot cars use grub screws these days. The 0.95mm is quite common and an allen key is cheaply available at a decent hardware store.

The brass collet is meant to centre on the motor output shaft. The crown-wheel unusual in that it is a separate item but you can move it to set the mesh. It has a small grub screw as well.

For me the separate crown-wheel is a little pointless and over engineered but I suppose you could simply replace it with a Scalex one although it has to be said it does work well once setup.

cheers
Mark

I will check the car when I get home but I am fairly certain that all the grub screws on it are 0.9mm M2

Small size as the slot.it - actually they must be as took the car apart with my sloting plus 0.9 torque wrench.

Thanks Phil although mine is different to that!!

I think the point is you should have a 0.9mm for both.

There is no 0.75mm and it will round out in them although you could have been lucky with one.
