I hope you don't mind an outsider making a comment.
Do you guys all know exactly which cars are muscle cars and which pony cars?
The link MJBud gives says:-
"However, opinions vary as to whether high-performance full-size cars, compacts, and pony cars qualify as muscle cars."
Which does rather leave a grey area of cars that may be both pony and muscle cars.
Of course if everybody at your club have the same understanding of the differance, then I guess my comment wasn't needed.
Probably not an accurate discription.
I wanted this class to basicaly allow all american cars of say 1960s and 70s.
Also to include pioneer, scalextric, carrera and revel cars.
All i can say is go large if you dont want to get run off the track.
So far we have pioneer dodge chargers & fastback mustang.
I have also done a carrera pontiac gto.
We run on a routered wood and braided oval race track.
scalextric sport tyres, any guide, any front tyres, no magnet but you can add weight.
The 72 camaro seems to judder around the corners a bit.
The best car so far i think is the pioneer charger.
It slides nicely around the corners taking out two lanes.
Personaly I would go scalextric.
They also make a dodge charger.
I also thought of a ford gran torino.
