well it looks a lot like were I live in New York (orange County) shale is shale and 1/2 my family are from Scotland I'm only 2an gen American !!!
and I cheated I live in the mountains so I see how the grass grows on the top of every out cropping

it seams to me that doing scenery is way more poplar outside the U.S.
so I have been looking at all the ones posted
more like studying them

Excellent results! Can you tell us what you think and what you were aiming for? Which part of which country, etc. For example the hill the castle sits on is Umbrian countryside with soft, rounded, weathered sandstone rocks in the brown colour of tufa, whilst the castle itself is built of grey granite.
