Nice track, I was trying to work out whether you have a wood and plastic track set up or if you had the plastic one set up on the table before you built the wood track. Some nice touches with the lit vending machines and I'd say that with time and a little more scenic items you will have yourself one fine track. Great work.

I like the long swoopy turns. Should be fast. Not crazy about the squeeze sections. I suspect you will eliminate those at next build. I took then out of my track as people tended to run into car ahead or stop in front of a car.

What are table measurements?

In the first video the car is running on the mdf board with two AA batteries and the second video only one lane is working but now all 3 are running and the fun has started. What's a good slot car magazine to get??

Thanks for your replys

Good looking track Bob. I like the chicane section, but haven't had a home track in 45 years, so don't know how it would work in practice.

There aren't a lot of options for magazines in English: from the US, Model Car Racing, published and edited by Bob Schleicher, and (I think), Scale Auto Racing News, by John Ford (both in e-versions as well). In the UK, there are two brand new magazines, Slot Car Mag and something similar, mostly e-based, but now available in print. The forums also have lots of info for home tracks.

We just started to lay out ideas on the board, we didn't want any tight turns but I wanted at least one long straight and a good s turn. We did leave spots where we can add on, now that we know how to do the routing and tapping it's not that hard. I think it came out good for our first routed track.
