I haven't posted any new cars for a while but have been busy working on new stuff. I've built 3 George Turner kits, some more SCCA cars and a Lotus 47 for the recent Colchester meeting.

First up is a George Turner Austin A35 which is a great little kit and went together in less than a week. The only thing I changed was the drivers head.

Next up is another George Turner, this one took a lot longer to build but the final result is very pleasing.

I built this Lotus 47 for a recent event at Colchester, it is based on a real car that raced at the BOAC 500 in 1967. It is an Ocar body (copy of Protoslot) and I've used one of the excellent new Penelope pitlane 'Clubman' chassis which performed very well.

This one was a simple restoration of a Revell Corvette Stingray. It is based on a real historic racing car, the red stripe was masked and sprayed.

The next three are all SCCA style cars, which are really my thing at the moment. I have a plan but more about that at a later date....

First another George Turner, this time the Morgan +4 and again it went together very quickly, all I've changed is the drivers head and replaced the resin roll ar with a brass one.

MGA is next, I've added lots of detail to this one, it is a resin copy of the Monogram body and sits on a modified MRRC Ferrari 275P chassis.

Finally, a TR3A which uses an old Lindberg body. I've been using this car in Southend Slot Car Clubs (SSRC) 'Unsung Heroes' class. It uses a PCS chassis which control chassis in the class.

Thanks,

Pete

All fantastic Pete!

My favourite is the baby Austin, which is an A35 by the way. The A30 had a much smaller rear screen.

Thanks for all the compliments, much appreciated! Jim, thanks for pointing out my mistake with the A35, my knowledge of 1950's saloons isn't too comprehensive.

QUOTE Presumably the MGA is the old 'Traffic' body?

Yep I'm pretty sure it is, I got it at a swapmeet. It came with a full screen but I wanted to finish mine with an aero screen.

QUOTE must ask where all the wheels came from

They are mainly from RS slotracing (wheels and inserts), all of the 13" wheels are Penelope Pitlane. The Lotus 47 inserts are made up from recast PP with Ninco 3 eared spinners.

Thanks,

Pete
