Be careful what you ask for. I told you its a mini track. These are pretty much
the best of the bunch. I left out the individual pits and some scenic items.
but i hope this post make you guys who ask happy.

It may not be that big... but it's a great looker...

Nice looking trees and stuff... there are also a few buildings I have never seen before!
Looks very good!!!

But... Personally I'm not into those homies... I'm thinking about ordering such a "homies van"... but leaving the homies out of it... and putting slotrace figures in it...

Cheers

i hear what your saying but after some really meticulous work on the scratchbuilt
grandstands. i just didnt feel like painting half the the worlds figures to fill it up.

Great work. You've got so much detail into a small layout, I think it's great.

I particularly like the pit lane scenery and the grandstand on the main straight.

Fabulous! thanks for posting!

So much great stuff - but can I ask about 2 of the details?

where are the fuel tanks from on top of the pit lane buildings?

and where are the snap-on red tool boxes at the rally stand from?

cheers

hi astro

thanks for the kind words.

the tanks are semi scratchbuilt if you put the two grey ends together that is what is
supposed to really look like. i just took a thin piece of styrene and made into an oval
shape glued the ends together and made the body of the fuel tank. it took a year of
bay hunting to find those 3 end pieces and im still questing for the forth. the fuel lines are made from 1/8 inch vinyl tubing stuffed with a metal clothes hanger cut 1 inch shorter than the vinyl to facilitate attachments. the fourth is a fuel tank off a 1/25th scale model pick-up truck.

the tool boxes come from a walmart nascar accessories kit come with and air gun,
engine puller, and other stuff. it says 24th scale but works quite realistically in a 1/32
invironment.

hope this helps,

What power are you using? Is it custom?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

NAH I JUST COVERED THE POWER TRACK WITH A STARTERSTAND, JUST 2 REGULAR
SPORT UNITS, ALTHOUGH IT REALLY ONLY NEEDS ONE.
THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS,

Wow! Great looking track Mark and I like your choice of cars too. I know you're getting asked a lot of questions here but one more please! Those trees look fabulous - did you make them or where are they from?
