Well ladies and lads, it is that festive season upon us where we celebrate regardless of faith. Be it Christmas, Hanukkah ,Kwanzaa or something else special to you. I want to first wish you all peace and happiness and good health for the season and into the new year and may your dreams be fulfilled and good fortune come your way.
I also want to thank each and everyone of the members of our forum home for the contributions made. Everyone here has a common intererst and is always willing to help or offer suggestions.
For all of this i thank each and everyone of you. We are all a bunch of characters and pretty much get along like a normal family. So lets keep it up and enjoy what others contribute.
May you have a prosperous New Year and a safe festive season.
All my best
Bob
And i also would like to wish everyone a great xmas and a really happy new year , hope there are some great slot car gifts received by all, happy slotting in 2018.
Ronnie and I were looking at the food we had to prepare and decided to cook it all today.
Then we started feeling hungry.
And then she said, a second before I could, "why don't we have it today?"
So we did.
Probably have it again tomorrow.......and the day after and very possibly all next week. We don't normally have a turkey but for a change we did. Big aren't they?
I'm too stuffed to eat any pudding and mince pie. This is a disaster but that at least might have to wait until tomorrow.
I'm definitely getting in the mood so 'appy christamasssssss
A different ritual: Since I am no longer part of a larger family, I shall enjoy my evening repast in calm and relaxed solitude.
The menu:
Slices of hard salami and stuffed olives accompanied by a good 12 year old single malt
Endive salad with a champagne vinaigrette, Gorgonzola and walnut dressing
Waygu beef strip steak cooked, very briefly, in a very hot cast iron skillet
Ficelle, supplied partly baked and finished in the oven just before using
Double espresso, some good chocolate and, as a digestif, ice cold (from the freezer) Himbeergeist.
After spending Christmas Eve and morning with her mother, my daughter will join me tomorrow afternoon to exchange gifts after which we shall repair to our favorite Japanese restaurant for dinner.
I shall also be expecting a call from my son, who lives a continent away, telling me how my 9 year old twin granddaughters reacted to the Carrera 1/24 cars I sent them.
(see, this post is slot related after all)
My best wishes and hope that all of you enjoy the holiday as much as I shall.
