I think Marusan made a couple of early 60s Japanese saloons - could be one of those.

The chassis is by Tokyo Plamo, and so is the 1/24th driver in a 1/32nd car.

The chassis looks more like a 1/24 Tokyo Plamo model, but not sure about that body.

PS: Joel, our posts crossed - but what is the body? The 1/32 TP models I've seen have a one-piece chassis and no drop arm.

The interior tray slots onto 4 pegs on the shell and the chassis has 3 screw holes which line up on the interior tray.
I’ll take some more photos.

in 1/32, Marusan did the Cedric, but it rode on Atlas running gear with open frame motor. Tokyo Plamo did a predecessor, the Prince Gloria (which in real life evolved into the Skyline range after Nissan acquired Prince). I'm guessing it's the latter; have never been so fortunate as to run into either of these!

Thought I’d give this old slot car a new lease of life.

Detailing is coming along.

to allow the paint to harden before I polish and soften the edges of the chrome work.

Haven’t decided on decals yet but I think I’ll keep it simple.

Don’t think I’ll put the oversize drive behind the wheel that came with the kit.
