Hi,i am just moving to digital and have built a permanent track 18 ft by 6ft.i have 9 changeovers + pit lane and there does nt seem enough power in the middle of the track and too much in other places. Some of the change overs work occasionally.Ideally I could do with someone who knows what their doing setting it up for me,I will even give them a few pounds.I live near Stratford upon Avon,Warwickshire,England, look forward to hearing from someone who can help

First Off Hi and welcome to the forum

A quick question what powerbase are you running ?

Also do you have any INOX M3 ?

And did you crimp all your track joints before it went down ?

Hi their and welcome, I'm afraid I'm not much help with digital, but being near stratford as well we could sort out a race after you've got it up and running!

Hi,i am using C7042 6 car powerbase and powered by a Watson digital DC power
I have no idea what a inox M3 is .
What do you mean about crimping track joints.I am a real amateur which is why I am hopefully going to find someone local who can sort me out.
Look forward to hearing back from you Michael

With regards to teezracer,I look forward to a race when its sorted

Do you have any power taps (Scalextric Track Power Booster Cables) installed on your track? If not, i would definitely recommend installing some or have someone install them for you if you're not sure how.

hi
if you follow the links supplied for inox and the crimping one you will find things run a whole lot better. After i applied the inox to my already crimped track sections i was able to remove the couple of booster cables that i was running..

The high power mod for the c7042 is now out so have a gander in the scalextric forum. The above mods should get you going and if done in the follwing order should let you decide if you need more power.

1.Crimp the rails
2.inox the track
3.Fit power boost cables. (if your handy with a soldering iron i would opt to make them myself as you save quite a bit of cash.
4.get the power mod done.

If after this you are struggling drop me a pm and i might be able to pay a visit as i have relatives that way.

Hi Michael
The Watson dc output has 2 ,1 saying max 6a which is what I am plugged into at the moment and another which has max 12A.The output voltage states between 0 -15v DC although the dial does nt seem to exceed 13.8.
The articles you sent me are great,I will just have to find the time to do it,it s a big track

Hi porsche racer

Have you modded your Pb? For the high volts as a Riko post recently?
if not you are actualy going to be running under power which will not be helping you at all
I would sugest doing the mod then using the 12amp out put and that will help you a lot
