Hi Everyone!
I'm wondering if any of you could help me ID this component between the two red wires. It's from a Litehawk track, designed for 6v. I put too many volts (10v) though it and it got really hot and broke in half. It melted a small hole through the plastic as well This is from a replacement powerbase. It has 510 stamped on it.

It is a 510 Ohm resistor, probably 1/2 Watt.

So it's a 51 Ohm resistor. Can you measure the resistance on the working terminal track just to be sure?

Try DigiKey.ca, their shipping is only $8CAD. If you buy 3 resistors you will likely pay less than $10 for the whole order and get it in a day or two.

Yup, 51 cents a piece. NB - This one may not be the actual one you need.
