Hi guys
here are some pics of my new Carrera 4 lane I just finished. It is 18 meters long on a 6.30 meters by 3 m table. Power is 3-15 Volt 10 Amp.
Thanks to the forum and to all of you for helping much.
Best Regards
Edo (from the Italian side of Switzerland)

I'm not personally much a fan of Carerra track, the lines down the road and the border colors bug me too much (not as bad as Artin borders!), but that's a real nice track. Simple, clean lines, and a good mix of sections. Great work.

Thanks guys!
I used Carrera's software to design the track. I had to borrow a PC (I am on Mac) and download the program from their web site. The design is inspired by what I remember was the commercial track I use to race on in the 60's, give and take a few modifications and different lenght.
Today and tomorrow well' be finishing the electrical part with my friend who is an electronic engineer, his girlfriend has just finished about another 50 hay bales and my 12 years old nephew
is helping me tune up those (Fly) cars (and others) taking off magnets etc etc. So far the Slot.it's and the Scalex GT40 are the better cars out of the box. I will post comments about how the different cars behave on the track and how the track itself is driveable.
Best regards

Ciao Thomas
let me rehearse and find the proper set up for my cars and THEN I might consider throwing myself into the German lion's pit

Are you and Swiss (Allan W.) going to the Verbano 24 h next week?
I will go and take a look and it would be nice to meet you there.
Best

@ Edo ...as it seems that there is no room for a Slotforum-team, I'm not going to Verbano. But Edo, don't worry to show up north of the Alps - you might use any of my cars!
I will be in Cadro and Lamone tomorrow and thursday - if there is a chance to meet you on thursday in the afternoon, call me on 079-3379304
And inform me, where your track is based

I'll be in Ticino with my motorcycle - so there is no room for any slotcars in my luggage... and no reason to fear a race with me

Edo,
I just got back from Italy last night, 'Reggio Emillio' to be precise, and the drive back was a nightmare - BOTH damn tunnels closed. Gottahrd for the whole night and St Bernadino at intervals, with the following tunnels after it (heading to Chur) also being closed for half an hour at a time

IF I can face the trip again I will definatley be in Verbano to do a write up for SlotForum so see you there!

Look for the SF teeshirt
and

GOOD LUCK! whats your Team?

PS: Don't worry about Swiss Race Bahn being the German Lions Den for this DSCF race - You wont be the only one they are trying to eat

..these are no good news Swiss - as I've to drive down and back to and from Ticino within 36h. This will force me to take the old road over the Gotthard pass - a nice trip on 2 wheels ;-)
I'll call you mate! Lot's to do till mid of july!

Hi Thomas
my track is in Viganello not far from Cadro. I will call you tomorrow so if you have time we could run up a few laps on my track

About motorcycles:I just took my Ducati to the mechanic: I had a little accident, nothing serious except for my insurance : 4300 francs of damage mostly cosmetic!!!

Hi Swiss
if I can make a suggestion: when you go to Reggio Emilia (visiting Slot.it ?
you might consider going with the train, which is something me and my wife do when we go to Bologna, between the Gotthard (which you have to cross) and that awful autostrada full of trucks it is worth it!
I will not race the Verbano 24h I just will go and take a look underneath the cars to see what they got (if they let me)

All the best
Edo
As VOA (and me) found out a couple of hours ago how come sometime the pics come out as a red x?

@ Edo - I'm on the road in the afternoon, no phonecalls possible, meeting for dinner with some of my employees in Cadro tomorrow, have a meeting in Lamone on thursday - and if you've some spare minutes on thursday afternoon, we might meet. Lamone to Vigasnello is about 10km - not a distance for that...

yep, you're right! Just mounted the official exhaust system to prevent problems with the police for my trip down south. You might try it when I'm at your track. Hardest competition to slotracing in summer - you might imagine
