New Clubroom

The Netley club near Southampton lost their clubroom shortly before Christmas. Fingers crosssed, we're hoping a new venue will be confirmed at the end of next week. If that's the case, there will be refurbishment of the premises to do, and then a new track to build. We hope to be up and running in time to host the planned rounds of the Southern 32, and also our annual 'Classic' retro round (both ion the Summer).

Practice and first race last night all ran without any significant problems.
First 'off' on the new track was Mac, First 'on the floor' - Richard, First 'race win' - Murray.
S32 on Sunday as planned, and first full club night on Monday evening is F1.

Nice timing and very well done guys!
Sadly can't make Sunday but negotiating as we speak for the Classic on Aug 5th.

Our first race meeting was held yesterday (a round of the Southern 32 Championship). 14 competitors spoke kindly of the track and facilities, and enjoyed a good day's racing.


Richard runs the race at race control (top left) for (from the left) myself, Les May, Paul Haywood and Bill Jenner. Marshalling are (clockwise from top right) : Simon Francis, Vince Lee, Phil Helmsley (the overall winner), Ian Fisher, Dan Gargas, and in the chair Ian Barker.
