Hi all, I'm Chris and I've always been interested in scalextric until I found beer, woman and cars. My dad built me my first set when I was about 8 and we spent hours making new circuits. Just by chance, on Saturday, a friend sent me a link to a YouTube video of the digital set up and it just blew me away. After a 20 year absence I want to get back into it. By Tuesday I had built a 104sq ft table in my loft and was suggested I have a look on here for ideas!! There are some unbelievable set ups.
I suppose I'd best tell you a bit about myself. I'm 37, live in Yorkshire in the UK, married to sarah. We are both very interested in cars, I love motocross and raced for years - now too fat and delicate.

Welcome!

You've come to the right place.

Ask all you want, there are some very helpful people here.

Be warned though, it can be quite addictive.

If you're looking at Scalextric digital (SSD) check out that section of the forums and familiarise yourself with some of the terminology - it will help alot.

You may also find some of the links below helpful.

Thanks for the welcome. It is digital I am interested in and my wife is going to be so pleased that its addictive. She says I have an addictive personality so always do whatever I'm doing, at the time, to the extreme.

Looking at some of the set ups in the 'tracks and scenery' forum they are outstanding!
