Hello everyone

I have been trying to find a slot forum for ages, and only after reading Tuckers Tips on the GS website did I come accross this one. I still couldn't find the bulletin borad though, too busy looking at all the layouts in the resources section.

Then I clicked the banner thinking that would go the the homepage, and behold, it brought me here.

An short introdcuction;

My name is Gary and I live in the West Midlands. I recently bought myself a Scalextric Sport set, after becoming frustrated with my ancient Le Mans set failing to work. I enjoy racing Ninco cars most, allthough my Scalextric GT40 is very nice, as are (surprisingly) two F3 style scalextric cars I got for a tenner each.

I'm currently looking for clubs in my area (solihull), at the moment the nearest I can find is Wolverhampton. Do any of you know of a closer meet?

Hello mate, a Dudleyite here. I go to the Collingwood club on Friday nights in Great Barr (when I can, the twin hazards of work and decorating have kept me away from the place for a month or so) which might be easy for you to get to since it's only a couple of miles from the motorway junction along the Queslett Road.

No, didn't get booted (but then I tend to hold back emotion...

), but like many boards, ignored for not being in the "right place". Here? No one cares where we come from - we get treated with respect. Frankly, I'm still in shock from that and still getting used to it! Happily!

Only joking guys, before I ingratiate myself to half the members here!

I like America, you can play with big V8s and guns. Some of the scenery is breathtaking and most of the people are friendly. Also without the UK sending those pilgrims over to the new world, we would never have had the Dukes of Hazzard, A-Team, Airwolf and Knight Rider.
