The Seat looks good... but not great.

It retains the "hand-built" quality which mass produced stuff shouldn't IMO.

Some people like this, but not me. Missed the goal with this one Teamslot.

OK - the SEAT looks pretty cool but that Simca!

I mean - how out of scale is that ! - just compare it to the part chewed 'Ferrero Rocher' in the background.

QUOTE (Jamie @ 6 Sep 2004, 21:19)I imagine the Revell Simca will be quite nice.
Don't leave us in suspense like that, Jamie!

Revell Simcas? Tell us more! An Aronde perhaps? A decently mass produced 1000 Rallye would be very welcome too!

I like the TS resin cars and really enjoy sliding my very easy to drive Rothmans RS1800 MkII Escort and Audi Quattro Sport E1. The Fiat 131 Abarth is on my shopping list

The Toledo looks good and will be especially popular in Spain as it competes in the Spanish GT along with the Seat Cupra (the SCX model). Also is this not the model quite a few of us (me incl) put our names down for with the guy who got TS to produce 100 Sainz RS Escorts? Swiss - don't you have your name down for 10 of them? If so I look foward to getting my mits on it.

Are the Team Slots any good?

I would love to buy a Rothmans Escort but I have heard they are a bit of a lucky dip when it comes to quality control.

I have heard they are quick and the Escort looks great but if it runs like crap - they are expensive lemons

I really like my TS Rothmans Escort - it took some work so it runs nice but no more than a lot of other cars. The norm of gluing and truing, gluing motor, shiming sideways slop in front axle, and reducing the ride height by scraping a bit of resin around the rear guide post. I think I specified what I did in my review of it on GetSlotted - think it was Dec 03.

I ran it last night on my rally track - the lap record is 15.4 seconds and anything under 16s is excellent, under 17 secs in good and under 18 s is acceptable. The record is help by a Ninco Scooby and my SCX Xsara does it in 15.6 seconds. The Escort does it in 16.4 seconds which is comparable to most SCX rally cars and better than my Scaly Focus (16.8 secs). All w/o magnet.

Take a look at the other pictures that the post starter has placed a link to under the 2 pics on the forum. The Seat actually looks pretty good but I agree the windscreen doesn't fit very well.
