Can anybody explain why some new posts aren’t appearing when I hit the ‘NEW’ button?

Going to need some additional details. New posts from what sections? Also, if they're your own replies to a thread, they won't be treated as new, so they won't populate when the NEW filter is set to the default "unread".

I’ve got a thread ‘a working flag waver’ that is Track and Scenery, while earlier replies appeared when I hit the NEW button, they don’t not now.

Ok, that worked but there is a definite delay before it populates on NEW. Maybe 60 seconds or so.

Realise that it isn‘t instant- but the last few posts on the thread have not appeared - I check in a number of times each day!

I mean you won't see the thread populate the NEW posts page multiple times. It will simply update on that page with the latest post. Testing your thread mentioned above.

Never been a problem here. When it doesn't show what I expect, it's almost always filter related.
Are you possibly ignoring any members that might be posting?

Do you sit on the NEW page or do you close the tab out? I just refreshed a setting, can you go and post a test reply in that thread?

I wonder if the page eventually times out if you leave it open. I kept the new page closed, randomly opened it and saw your post waiting.

It is weird!
I’ve got nothing ticked in the filters -just checked.
I have looked at new content from all the forums for years with no problem, on my ipad -ie I’m doing nothing different from usual!!

Oh, I forgot to mention that refreshing the "New" page doesn't work the same as it used to, at least it doesn't seem to, for me. It's appears to generate a unique search ID, and refreshes just the previously found threads. I hit the "New" button every time, because it starts a new search for new threads.

Like you,when I go back into SF I immediately hit the NEW button to read anything new that catches my eye from any of the forums

After you click on new there is a filter menu on the top left, make sure all options are cleared. This are not separate options but work one after the other so if you click followed you will see all new content for threads you are following but if you also have the top option ticket then you will only see unread threads you are following.
