I ended ticking <Save as default> then clicking <Filter> and that seems to have helped. However, I find it best practice to use my own Bookmarks for all my frequently visited websites.

Digging this one out, I have a question about the "NEW" filter.
Can I select which forums appear or not in the filter?
For example: I don't want to see the new posts in the Clubs forum, how can I make sure they do not show up when I click on "NEW"
Can I remove multiple forums?

The long way would be to go into each section that you WANT to show up in new posts and click "follow" (top right). Once thats done, you can filter the new posts page to only show unread followed content.
