Hi Cambridge Blue

Just in case, people don't know....

This is the Limited Edition NSCC/Hornby Weekend car. 1 of only 48! given to NSCC members who came to the event for the weekend. Each car comes with a named certificate.

I think everyone who has one of these (like me) has been offered some very silly money for them.

Mine (25/48) is NOT for sale!

Just so you know, I understand that the 2004 Dealer Range presentation car will be virtually identical, the only difference will be the writing around the race number. Normally around 300 are made each year.

How can you be sure to get one next year?

Join the NSCC and apply to go to the weekend event!

Details WWW.NSCC.CO.UK

Hope to see you soon

I think you need to edit sharpish, Gareth.

Nobody will be SURE of getting to the NSCC weekend and therefore getting whatever the special is unless they remove the limit on numbers attending.

Yes Fair point Jim.

But if you don't join you can't apply, so to be sure, Join the NSCC.

Numbers at the weekend are limited 48 has been the max for several years (not aware of this going up). Pretty much first come, first paid - goes.

Hornby also gave every attendee a Green Beetle (no tampo printing, clear wheels and unpainted Mr Blooby driver)

Regardless of the cars the weekend itself was great fun and we got the chance to be first to see the proto type Lister and discuss the new tuning products for 2004. (see various other threads)

Hope that makes it more clear.

Nice looking car. 48 lucky owners. Collectors market drooling.

BUT I'd sell mine in a wink if someone offered my stupid money!

I like my cars with some sense of real race heritage so if I could turn one fantasy livery into 50 real ones I wouldn't even blink.

To me the real question is...what new GT-40 liveries from Scaley will we see in 2004!?

They've done the 1,2,3 and 5 cars from 1966. This leaves No.s 4,6,7 & 8!

Lets not forget the Shelby versions from Daytona and Sebring plus the countless others run in 68 & 69!

Is the German sport ed going to be a worldwide standad issue?

Oh so many questions!

Hi all

Before any of you complain I have posted the picture of this car at SCI and I have not revealed its source but no doubt some folk will work it out from the URL.

Scalextric have done the NSCC members a big favour in producing this special for them and its only fair that in return they get some free publicity out of it.

And of course it all adds to the kudos of ownership of the car and NSCC membership.

So please don't start knocking me for posting the picture on a few sites around the world without revealing that it first appeared at SlotForum.

By all means if some of you want to reveal what the car is about fine, but lets see if SCI members can work it out first. Lets have a bit of fun in otherwords and see their reaction!

Thank you for your understanding.

If you hire the incredible hulk as a driver you really have to let him sit where he wants

At the last count Inti SlotForum had 370 members or therabouts.

It probably does not need any help!

What will help SlotForum are more posts about BARGAINS like those of Cambridge Blue and his Argos find.

If SlotForum is perceived among the slot racing fraternity around the UK and Europe as a place to go to find out about money saving offers, then it will draw a very large fan club.

So, its soon going to be January so everybody prime their slot racing pals.

I know precisely what happens every January at my local stockists!

And probably at a few of the national sheds aswell.

yeah thing is tho mk2 we all know you'd sell it on the bay!!!

oh mope.. if your so inclined about bargains, argos got more sets in so if the price drops again so they cant sift em i will be down there getting more!!

ok, so sean wont be too happy about it but you cant exactly complain!

erm talking of offers etc anyone been to slotcarracer e-tailers yet? looks good, quite cheap bt has a get slotted feel to the site, is it a pre-programmed screen on frontpage or summat?

another offer thing, might all want to shuffle off to autocarmag.co.uk very botom right of page should be of mega interest, was going to keep it to myself but since I want SF to be good, I will try to do my best to make it good.

Also, ifyou ahve ever been to a slot event like porsche challenge, you will find that about half the room will reside on SF, Imean last meet we went to audi challenge, we had BSN, me, 3.9, Grah1, MacP, mickl, pendleslot, and I know there were a lot who lurked aswell. eg Jim Brown
