it's interesting that he only has the official 1:1 pic and not a pic of the 1:32, as with all his other sales! My guess is he believes he will have it by the end of the bidding. Or else he is trying to rake in some easy money before xmas with pre-orders...

He is the only one offering it on eBay - so maybe an advance order from the suppliers perhaps.

Other dealers have it on pre order for £27.99.

A premium of £11 - there's one for £39 - is too much for a display car- especially if there are meant to be 6,000 at least made (even by my high selling prices!!)

I saw this a few days ago and emailed the seller esp as they say they are in Northants. I asked whether they had a physical shop and whether I could go and see the car - an internet only based seller and he did not invite me round for tea!

I'd be suprised if he gets hold of stock before this week is out!

I saw this as well....

I checked with Scalextric and it would appear that whilst some stock has been received in the UK, this all went to export markets. It will not be released in the UK until the 7th December at the earliest (this is the date they are due in to the warehouse).

Who knows, he might have some.

Still, I can't understand why anyone would want to pay £39 for it.

Hmmm seems the seller is hedging his bets on getting them in pretty pronto then!!!

I thought its official name was the GT50, its still a nice model and the pic he is using I saw on Scalextrics websites ages back so its not the released version.

Ill wait until its in the shops, sports versions for £39, no thanks.

at present he has 4 Ford GTs, ranging from £11.63 to £39 mentioned. £39 is a bit much, and theres still the fact he hasn't got a picture of the actual model... but you might get a reasonable price bidding on the other ones...

If only the new Ford GT had been based on the 1964 prototype. Now that would have been interesting. Why all the hip about the sports version? I too fell for this in the last batch the GT40's. I think I'II wait for the standard version and maybe the plastic kit.
