SRC has announced the appointment of Staffs Slot Cars as its UK distributor. As the SRC range of cars continues to grow in 2019, the experience and customer service provided by Staffs Slot Cars proved an ideal fit to ensure that British slot racers get the most from the brand.
Known for its long-standing service to SCX, Avant Slot and Team Slot in the UK, and for establishing the own-brand WRC 1/43 sets in Britain, Staffs Slot Cars will ensure that the full range of standard and Chrono cars is available to UK racers and collectors, together with the ever-increasing range of spare parts such as the 'Smooth Flow' T2 sprung guide and Ultra Grip tyres.
One of the most exciting developments for 2019 will be the start of the Chrono Racing UPGRADE spare parts programme, designed to allow a wider number of SRC's standard cars to be tuned.
The first car to receive the UPGRADE designation will be the Porsche 914/6 GT. A new chassis, motor and gear setup can be expected, together with the new machined alloy Fuchs wheels for competition use.
The full Chrono Racing UPGRADE specification will be present in a new RTR model of the Porsche 914/6, intended to represent a Scuderia Montjuich on the 1971 Monte Carlo Rally.
Other new model releases include the McLaren M23 finished in Yardley colours as a replica of Denny 'the Bear' Hulme's 1973 Swedish Grand Prix winner, with an upgraded Chrono version of the car in Lucky Strike colours as driven by Dave Charlton at the 1974 South African GP.

A new model will be the BMW Schnitzer 2.8 CS coming in two liveries, those carried by the 1971 Spa 24 Hours winner and one entered in the 1972 Le Mans 24 Hours. There will also be highly sought-after limited editions of the Ford Capri LW in 'Chrono Beyond' trim, with the Spanish version already available and the UK and other nations following on soon.
