Howdy all,

I am just finishing my 1st track, its constructed from 18mm MDF with copper braid for pickups. The track is painted with a black polyurethane floor paint.

At first I tried some old scalectrix and SCX cars I had lying around, they were ok, not over fast though.

Next I lightly sprayed the surface with some Stick It Lightly mixed with lighter fluid and then tried some flexi chassis cars with foam tyres, these worked a treat and the cars did fly around.

But i cant help feel the model like cars (NSR, FLY etc) look so much nicer.

Does anyone use these type of cars on this type of track surface, if so do you change the tyres?

Thanks in advance for any help.

thanks for the reply.

Yes i was told this elsewhere, I dont want to go and buy an NSR without trying first, ideally it would be great to try a variety of cars on the track to see what work before spending my money on my own cars.

Anyone interested in testing some cars???????????? Based in Southampton, Hampshire, UK

Hi

Thanks for your advice guys, I have got a phone number for Netley club now, although its now shut up.

In regards to the cars, I look forward to trying some out with ultra grips and P6's.

If anyone lives near the Southampton area and is willing to try there different types of cars / tyres let me know, it would be great to try some out.

Cheers
