The Newark NSCC Swapmeet will be on this Sunday 31st October.

Now, I wish I could tell you where it is, times, etc, (just as one of my customers has asked) but I can find no details anywhere on the internet.
Details were in the NSCC newsletter but I have read and disposed of this.

If there is anyone reading this who has anything to do with the swapmeet can I ask why there are no details anywhere out there on some kind of website?

These orginisers will be the first to complain when they have low numbers of people through the door on Sunday!!
Iam going, but at this time I have no idea where it is (can't remember from last year!)

As an interest I tried a quick search for my own Orpington meeting, several sites came up all linking back to my own with full details and even one in Italy!

Newark was quite quiet, not many traders and not many members of the public through the doors. No one from overseas.

Compare this with Stuttgart the day before, easily 200 trade people waiting to get in at 9.00 am and over 500 people through the door after 10.30. people from USA, England, Belgium, Holland, France, Spain, Austria, Italy and even Singapore!

Question is, what makes Stuttgart such a successful show?

I went even though I didn't particularly want anything mainly to give me somewhere to ride my bike.

I did buy a few bits and met a couple of people I only previously knew through the internet.

I'm not sure I'd bother going again though. The bigger swapmeets such as MK are worth going to but the others will depend on what else is happening. I wonder how much the restriction to NSCC members puts people off. Perhaps a 2 tier price might be better.
