Hi everyone,
Im new to slot car racing and would like some advice.
I have a small ammount of scalextric sport digital track but am planning on extending my layout to include a short rally stage using the pit lane set parts.

Are there any ways to create lumps and bumps hilss etc using the single lane track available?

Another alternative would be MDF track which would be easier to shape, is there a way to join md either taped of braided track to ready made track? Soldering etc is not a problem.

Finally can ninco raid cars etc be converted to run on scalextric digital?

Hope someone can help

THanks
Sam

Hi Sam
You can do just about whatever you want with routed MDF. It gets away from the layout restrictions of plastic track.

It's not difficult to join plastic and MDF. One way of doing it is to cut a straight in half, rout the MDF so the half straight fits with the track surface and slots aligned leaving the connecting end of the plastic track sticking out for plugging in the next piece of track.

Magnet traction works on plastic track but not on copper taped or copper braided MDF. If you want magnet traction on MDF, magnabraid is a good option.
