Hi all,

A newbie here - Son got a Scalextric digital set for Xmas (triple cup) along with a scooby police car all chipped. All good, and we picked up the track expansion kit 1 from the hornby visitor centre as we passed yesterday (disappointing selection of slotcar - mainly trainsets :-( )

Anyhow, he is keen to buy a bit more track with his Christmas money so we were looking for a simple (ideally!) track designer software. Scalextric one seems a bit.... odd, and is windows only so not ideal.

So, any recommendations? Ideally I'd want it to be simple to use, and work on a Mac but that's not essential. Cheap (even free? ) is obviously good!

The Scalextric one sucks - don't waste your time with it.

Not much choice otherwise though:
For PC
http://www.uracer.org/ur30/UR30.zip is free and ok.
or http://www.trackpower.net/eng.htm costs €15.95 looks a bit nicer & maybe a bit easier to use (there's a demo)

Don't know about Mac.

I would also recommend trackpower, well worth the little outlay
