Judging by the thickness of the outer pans and centre-section, I wonder if he has used a combination of plastic (Delrin?) and spring-steel (for the motor bracket, pillow-blocks, etc)? Given that the front wheel recesses need to be trimmed to match the wheelbase, plastic would be easier to cut.
I think that Milan was tired of building all these brass chassis for his RTR cars, and this cookie-cutter design will save him a ton of time. Note how the wheelbase is adjusted by trimming the side pans...
