Nichimo is one of the "big" Japanese slot car makers between 1964 and 1967 when just as in the USA, the hobby collapsed and most of the remaining unsold items were destroyed. In Japan this collapse was for vastly different reasons than in the USA, you will soon read what happened.
For some reason, many of the Japanese slot cars had tires made of compounds that did not stand the passage of time too well, and most have either melted in a puddle or have generated major blisters over their surface. For some unknown reason, this particular set at the LASCM has escaped that fate...
