Just wondering if anyone had any inside info regarding Ninco's plans to release/or not any more cars in their Classic series.

Just about the most fun cars released in the last few years, and not just my opinion if supply and demand on Ebay is anything to go by.

If they know whats good for them they would, even re- release some of the previous classic range. Over at sci a while back NINCO Bob (i think) asked what members there would like to see made.
Apart from the default american response (more NASCARS dang ya!

) the overwhelming ask was for more classics please, both new and old .
Hopefully Ninco will get the hint.
I got onto classics quite late and have missed out on quite a few.

I too adore thses cars. Don`t have any info but just received a Ninco Club membership card! Hope they do release a load more.

Beejay, if you go to the MRE site and then to Nuremburg 2002 report, there are a lot of, as yet, unreleased liveries of the Healey displayed there. Whether they will be released is another matter!

I hope more cars of this era are made, but I would prefer them to stick with the NC1 power to keep them compatible with the early ones.

The Ninco NC1 classics are excellent - the healey (NC2 is too much for it) with an NC1 adds nicely to the collection, and on my twisty scaly sport home track out performs my Scalextric Challenger car by about 0.5 sec on a 9 second lap.

I would like more XK120s as a preference.

The Ninco Classics THE perfect slot car. I would just like to see some of the originals brought back. Some newer cars with NC-1 motors would be a real bonus too.

A few of us in my area fell that Ninco had it right.NC1 motor,no magnet,or very light magnet.

The Ninco Classics,FIA GT,and for me especially,the DTMs,are still a favorite!!!

As someone toying with the idea of getting a Healey, is the NC-1 conversion the favourite way to go then? I'd have thought that the Healey and Cobra would be much more in character with the NC-2?!

Any guidance welcome!

The Cobra maybe, but the Healeys I've seen in 1:1 drive like they have NC-1s in them!?

I did the NC-1 conversion to mine and I really like it that way. The NC-2 just has too much torque for such light cars. I don't have a Ninco Cobra, but do have an MRRC that came with the red motor. That came out and a stock Scaley motor went in, still plenty of power for non mag running.

NC1 powered Ninco Classics are awesome, even early realeases : I put a NC1 in both my Austin Healey and my AC Cobra, they are a blast to drive but I have to say that the Austin is faster than the Cobra (have to try to modify the weight tuning on the Cobra).
Other great cars with a NC1 motor are the Revell-Monogram Corvette GS and Daytona Coupe : lots of fun to drive even if they are slower than Ninco Classics ...

Forgot to say : of course, no magnet in those babies

Ninco would be daft not to. I can't understand why only two or so come out each year. Maybe they don't sell well in certain parts of the world.

Get the Healey.
Remove the magnet.
Install the NC-1, a pair of silicone tires, and about 1/4 oz of lead under the sides of the chassis, just in front of the rear wheels.
Grin for the rest of the night.

Very Interesting views chaps, I'm glad I started this thread.

It is reassuring in this day and age that so many people seem to like these cars, with Classic bodyshells, low power motors and no magnets.

Let us hope that Ninco, (or even other manufacturers), realise this and start producing more cars to this specification.

I too love the Ninco Classics, I have six of them now, including a newly purchased and NC-1 converted Healey. They are probably the most fun cars I own. I cannot wait for them make more of them.

My Classics are bog standard ( excpet reliveries on some) or have the NC1 fitted and then enjoy life running on Ortmann tyres with 5 grams behind the guide (unless I fitted lights then the board does the job of the weight). They also ALL run with the sprung guide.

I tried some tuning yesterday night, but, on my track, the Austin is still faster than the Cobra (0.3 seconds for a less than 7 seconds lap)
If the Cobra top speed seems higher, the Austin handle much better on braking and on cornering

...
