Ninco are still knocking out those daft dot magnets. With that heavy motor right at the back and no compensatory magnet position, this beautiful car will probably slide all over the place and knock out slowish times (if it stays on the track).

A beautiful looker that could have been a total stunner if Ninco fitted it with variable magnet positions and a decent rectangular magnet.

QUOTE totally agree with taxi regarding the magnet - downforce when you don't need it, as soon as you slide and you do need the mag, it's no longer over the rails! whats the point of that?

Although I agree with the point, and I've made similar comments myself, I just wanted to make it clear that I just saw this and posted the link.

I didn't write this review, it was written by Shawn Smith for Slot Car Garage.

PS Though if someone wants to send me one for review...!

Great photos.

Looks a sure fire winner but didn't I always say that whoever taps into JGTC first should reap the rewards - sorry Cartrix, yours didn't cut the mustard with me, it's still a comic runner! Grrrr.

I've one of each of these Hondas coming my way from Slotcity and they can't arrive fast enough!

What's with the dragstrip test? Pointless or what? One for the speed_crazed_morons - these cars are not dragsters, they are meant to go left and right at speed.

Sheesh.

I want to add that I believe, after one weekends driving and testing that this car is THE best modern car ever released by Ninco.

More comments on it later but direct out of the box and with simply the magnet removed, oil added and the edges taken from the tyres it out performs nearly every Ninco car I have tuned or not and there is not an ounce of added weight anywhere. It is an AMAZING CAR!

I truly hope Ninco release more from the JGTC.

I am going to do some fine fiddling on it later but for now I added lights and a new front grille...

The lights are 3mm fronts and a direct fit into the supplied holes. Rear are 5mm and the lightkit gives integrated brake lights. I had to paint the interior of the bodyshell as the Orange is sprayed on a yellow base plastic and hence see through, which is unusual for Ninco but acceptable given the colour I guess.

The best Ninco car ever? IMHO on carrera track..... I'd have to say YES!!

(Interesting that you did the Autobacs car's lights - I did the Epson with 3mm leds all round)

If Carlsberg made slot cars.....

I tested on Carrera, Scalextric Sport and Routed. Man it ROCKS! although it DID hop a little on the wood track I expected that with no other work done to it.

It also spurred me on to finishing work on two Ninco M3s I have had sitting about, got them running on a par with the NSXs fairly easy and added some fine details, pics later.

Rob - pics of the epson car with lights please??

Just picked mine up from the sorting office

It looks great. Tyres are the grippiest yet from Ninco, the body is quite light, but the chassis is quite heavy. Low grip fronts are a welcome bonus too.

But the one thing that really impressed me was... The wheels were the straightest Ninco wheels ever! I went to true them and took off virtually no plastic at all.

One odd thing... the screws supplied are mid length, ie. longer than the short ones, and shorter than the long ones. And are of different thread... The back one was standard Ninco corse thread. And the front was fine thread like a Fly or SCX. Dunno if it was just mine... but they were replaced anyway.

Can't wait to test it on Wednesday. Can't go too fast or it'll never be allowed in GT class...

Oh... if you insist

Hmmm... tricky to get the photo lighting correct. The OverDrive lights are *SO* bright, I had take the piccie 'off-axis' to get anything other than two blobs of light!

I can only assure you that the light kit is MUCH better in real life

ps Incidentally all four of Ninco's JGTC cars feature in the shots above.
