I have bought the Ninco power strait ref, No. 10401, I was wondering what the centre hole is for. left hand side for lans 2, right hand side for lane 1, so what is the middle one for.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys, so if you dont mind, can I just confirm, that at the moment I am using two transformers one on the left side and one on the right side. But if I only had one transformer then i put this in the middle, it would still run. Also I am running a DS lap counter and timer how would this work, or how could I get this to work with the centre hole.

Many Thanks

Hello Athrlyth,

You can only get a few milliamps out of the centre socket. Enough to power the Ninco timer or counter. I doubt that it could provide enough power for the DS kit.

if you wire too many add ons it will melt part of the circuit board. i use high amp draw motors, and i got fed up soldering wires on to it. then the next weakest part would melt. you w,d be better off with with ninco,s double input power base, then you could half the wireing to each input and use the 2 transformers youve got. or the cheaper better option, is to buy a modern cheap switching regulated power unit and hardwire your track. pm me if you go for the second option. i can help. john
