Hi all,

Here is my track that I started last week.

Nirvana Raceway

I hope to finish all the painting and taping next week. The wiring will be a breeze and I've already got all the electronics to run Laptimer 2000 sorted out.

Will update with more pics as I get them.

Thanks to all for the advice.

Great idea for the folding box... Keep posting the pics as you go along, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished article...

Great workmanship and excellent layout design
.

I had a folding box type layout with Scalextric Sport track but I always had to disconnect two pieces of track to fold it
and it weighed a bit with the box and track together.

Yours is great and also bookmarked for future reference
.

What a great project! I tell you what...I have seen more creative problem-solving and ingenuity on this forum than I have in just about any other place recently.

Your project is to be applauded!

I will be interested in seeing the final product. Congrats thus far!

A few more pics added.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. But you all know stuff like this is only possible with with help which I gathered on this board.

Minimental, Although I like the band, the track is named "Nirvana" because it will be my little piece on earth where I can gather myself after a day at the office.

Damn - here I am having my wife mostly convinced that I need a whole room for my track then she's sitting behind me as I see this. Congratulations on finding solutions even Women can accept! I'll be excited to see the finished product - and probably copying it.

Thomas, thanks for the kind words. Will write everything up as soon as it is done.

Site has been updated with last night's work. Today, 29 December, it's been two weeks since I've started and I really did not think it would be this far already. Really thought this was gonna take a few months.
