Morning Jim

I see nothing gets by you! So much for anonymity!
Thanks for the intel on the Trucks, I have one in my sights!

Ref Volvo-man, when I joined I was asked for a User/Forum name and the original one I choose was unavailable (again not my real name but a longer story for another time), so as I gazed out of the window onto my drive thinking of catchy/ pithy monikers, it struck me (as this is a car forum mainly inhabited by blokes)! Consequently, I'm clearly not not Ferrari, Aston or Lambo man!!
Have a good W/E, see you Thursday!
Cheers! 🍻

Good night last night, thanks!
Don't know if you (or the club) are interested, but there is a DS 2000 lap counter on Ebay for about £130, I don't know if that's a good price or you would want one to replace he one with the dodgy display??
Just thought I'd let you know!! :)

I have just checked the F1 car for the class I picked last night and you are right that it was a 2004 model. :) What was confusing was the plinth it was supplied with was not!! Please see piccys!
Anyhoo, 'Hornby F1 Narrow body 2000 onwards' does that sound bout right. Have a good day and see you next Thursday!! 🍻

Morning Mr M

I am assuming the position relating to the track is the same, as I have not seen any positive news!! 🙁

On a slightly different matter, have you heard of Inox MX5? I have been reading about it on this forum and it appears to be good for rail cleaning/maintenance? Do you know anything about this ? I've looked to purchase some but only appears to be available from US or Australia. Do you know any one/where I could get some? Is there an UK equivalent?

Anyway , looking forward to when we can get back on the tack!! 😁

See you soon

Firstly, congratulations to Peter for wrapping up another yearly championship last week. With still another nine rounds to go!

We have now picked the final set of classes to see out the year.

Dates are;

17th & 24th November
1st, 8th, 15th &22nd December

  1. 2000 on GT
  2. SCX Classic Rally
  3. Licensed Aston Martins
  4. Lotus/Caterham7s
2000 on GT is for standard cars from any manufacturer.
SCX Classic Rally is the old favourite of standard SCX rally cars from before the Group B era.
Licensed Aston Martins is for Aston Martin models of any era from Carrera, SCX and Scalextric. Monday night tyre rule applies, so any other slot car's tyres can be swapped on, but not aftermarket types such as Ortmanns. Otherwise standard.
Lotus/Caterham7s is for standard Hornby cars.

On the subject of picking, Reuben deserves an honourable mention of not getting a single pick drawn from the 8 picking nights this year!
Afternoon Team
Can you help? I would like to buy some tyres for my Licensed Aston, it's a Hornby Aston Vantage GT3 #59 Blue/White livery Scalextric product code C4100. I am struggling to identify the correct (and best tyre) for the job! I have found a number of Scalextric Service Sheets all for similar AMs (but not the C4100) and they are all sidewinder motors (not in line) and have a number of tyre pack product codes (W10965, WW8614 etc) but those codes are not recognised by PSR, Jadlam etc!!

So simple question is what is the PSR product code for the best tyre to fit this AM?

Yours Tyre Numpty!

PS! Just realised that PSR does quote the Scalextric Part Number but that said I still cannot find the S/S which lists the part number! Also the Vantage GT3 tyres are out of stock!😪
