Now that restrictions are being lifted, we can hopefully resume NNRC properly.
This Thursday (22nd July) we will have a race night and all who can make it are welcome.
If we have enough racers we will run 6 lanes and 4 classes, if not we will do 4 lanes and 6 classes, so that whatever happens everyone will get the full 24 races.

This Thursday (22nd July) we will have a race night and all who can make it are welcome.
If we have enough racers we will run 6 lanes and 4 classes, if not we will do 4 lanes and 6 classes, so that whatever happens everyone will get the full 24 races.
The classes are;
1. Open Rally - Any rally car with modifications allowed.
2. Hornby NGTC - As raced many times before, but now with the BMW 330i added to the grid. Standard cars.
3. Hornby Muscle - Again the same as raced many times before. Pre 76 models in standard format.
4. Ninco Classic - Another old favourite, again for standard cars.
So if we have to run 4 lanes the extra classes will be;
Hornby Classic Touring - from Minis and Beetles through to Super Touring cars. "Monday Night" tyre rule applies - any tyre from another production slot car can be used, but not aftermarket tyres. Cars otherwise standard.
Indy / IRL - Any standard car from any slot company.
I have to apologise in advance for the state of the unit, Tony was instructed by the landlady to remove his old Bolwextric van which he had been using as a shed for all his work items, so all that stuff is now in the unit. The track itself is perfectly usable and he had time to fix several of the issues with it at the start of the pandemic, but we have to share our breaktime area with piles of building materials/tools. Also it will be necessary to bring along your own refreshments for breaktime. Hopefully these inconveniences will be addressed over time.
There is also a slight increase in race fees to £8, as Tony is no longer doing birthday/corporate parties, club night fees have to cover the unit rent.
Hope to see as many of you as possible on Thursday.
